First Blood

No, not the Stallone flick. Owen's first blood. It all started with the joy of discovery and his Leapstart Learning Table. He was having SO much fun. See for yourself.



All fun and games...



Then, things took a turn for the worse. A little lost balance, a fall too close to the edge of the table, and BAM! A bloody lip. Of course, he cried for all of 30 seconds. Mommy's distress lasted a bit longer. While we did not snap any photos at the height of gore, we did manage to break out the camera once things had calmed down a bit. Now Owen's first boo-boo is recorded for posterity.





I know, I know, this was the first of many injuries to come. It was just my first realization that little hurts for him can mean big hurts for Mommy. Or, as a wise mama friend recently said, "it's what happens when your heart toddles around in someone else's body."

Owen's blog debut

Well, too much is happening too quickly and you know that I have to chronicle every single breath. So, the time has come for Owen's blog (for our viewers who may not be "in the know," a blog is basically an online journal--a baby book for the new millenium). Regular updates to the blog are part of my new job description (Child Activity Director/Domestic Goddess in Training...CAD/DGT for short). So, stay tuned. This is sure to be better than cable! (NB--even you can watch this!)
