Owen's World: Los pollitos dicen...

"The baby chicks say..." Owen is a supermodel.

One of my ambitious mama friends has started her own company, Los Pollitos Dicen. This is a new boutique label of baby tees written in Spanish. The clothes are absolutely adorable and feature little phrases that Spanish speakers might say in talking about or to their wee ones.

Candela=technically means "fire'' but used to describe kids with a lot of spirit and energy.
Fo!=Phew! or Stinky!
Upa?=uppy or like "pick me up"
pio,pio,pio= peep, peep, peep. It follows "los pollitos dicen" in the common spanish nursery rhyme. The baby chicks say peep,peep,peep.

Anyway, this boutique label is going to boom, I just know it! And we can say we were right there at the beginning of it all. Owen and friends got to model the tees for a photo shoot showcasing the first samples of the line. We had such fun! All of the babies are so incredibly gorgeous it truly looked like "professionals" had been hired to do the job. Owen was teething and spent most of the shoot with his lower lip sucked in but he was still charming, as usual. And, we got to spend the afternoon in the most beautiful surroundings (it didn't hurt that lasagna & CAKE was provided to the mommies!).

Anyway, when you see these tees and babies gracing the cover of some fashion magazine you can say you saw it here first! The clothing line is set to launch late this summer and the future website will be www.lospollitosdicen.biz In the meantime, check out these beautiful babes.
